airport?
By bus – from Malaga's

departure 23.00 hrs) with a journey time of 90 min. – The name of the bus
company is Alsina Graells and the buses are red. By taxi - can be arranged by
the school.

Nerja is a town by the
sea, and there are obviously more tourists during the summer time. Apart form
the tourists, Nerja also has many permanent foreign residents.

What ages are the students?
We have students from
16 to 80 years old. Specially during the summer time, the average age is around
18 – 30 years old. Please, do not feel too young or too old to study with us,
it doesn't matter how good your Spanish is. Come and join us, we always have a
course for you!

tiempo de verano, la edad media es alrededor 18 - 30 años de viejo. Por favor,

What nationality are the
students?
Having students of all
nationalities, you will have the possibility of meeting people that differ
greatly in age, origin, cultural background, etc. We have more Europeans (from
Germany, England, Switzerland, ...) but each year we have more Japanese,
Canadian and American students.
Teniendo estudiantes de

You can use Internet in
the school at your convenience free of charge.

Can we use the telephone in our
accommodation?
You can receive
telephone calls in your host families – but there are no telephones available in
the apartments. If you want to make a telephone call, there are many phone
booths (with reasonable prices) near your accommodation and the school.

What is the weather like in
Nerja?
The temperature depends
on the time of the year. Nerja is near the beach, so it is not very cold in
winter and not too hot in summer. In summer it is around 30 º C (85 F) and it is
more than 15 º C (60 F) in the winter.
It doesn't normally rain, but fortunately we have some rainy days during the
winter.
La temperatura depende de la época del año. Nerja está cerca de la playa, así que no es muy frío en invierno y no demasiado caliente en verano. As you can imagine it
depends on the time of the year that you visit. Be sure to bring a coat for the

finding a job through the school?
It is possible to find
a job, but it is not very easy. Young people can find jobs during the summer in

opening times?
Bank are open from 8,30
– 14,00 h. Shops are open from 10,00 – 13,30 h. and from 17,00 – 20,00 h.

Where can I change money?
You can change money in
your country or if you prefer, once in Nerja you can go to the bank or the
travel agency – There are many possibilities.

Can I extend my course and
accommodation?
Of course it is
possible to prolong your stay once in Nerja. Just inform our Admissions

What kind of insurance is
available?
Centro de Idiomas
Quorum is covered by an insurance of civil responsibility for its students in
the school premises. The Spanish Social Security offers medical attention to
European Union citizens, upon presentation of a valid E-111 form issued by their
country of residence. Nationals of other countries should consult their
insurance company about coverage in Spanish before their arrival. We recommend
to our students that they sign up for insurance in case of illnesses, accidents,
theft or cancellation.
Un seguro de la responsabilidad civil de sus estudiantes en las premisas de la escuela cubre a Centro de Idiomas Quorum. La Seguridad Social española ofrece la atención médica a los ciudadanos europeos de la unión, sobre la presentación de una forma válida E-111 publicada por su país de la residencia. Los nacionales de otros países deben consultar a su compañía de seguros sobre cobertura en español antes de su llegada. Recomendamos a nuestros estudiantes que firman para arriba para el seguro en caso de que de enfermedades, de accidentes, de hurto o de la cancelación.
If I study there, what quality
guarantee do I have?

Quorum has been around since 1999. Since then, we have become very well-known in
Nerja and Spain for the quality of our programmes and the dedication of our
teachers. Quorum has become the first and only Spanish school in Nerja and the
Axarquia region to be and Accredited Centre by the
Instituto Cervantes for
the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language. This high distinction comes to us
after just four years of operation. In Spain there are hundreds of Spanish
language schools, however less than 45 schools are accredited by the Instituto
Cervantes. This accreditation is the highest form of recognition that Spanish
schools can get in Spain. The accreditation process is a very rigorous one.
Schools have to submit detailed information about the programmes, school,
advertisement, teacher qualifications, and more. The information submitted is
then reviewed and then a the school is inspected by an outside source recognized
by the Instituto Cervantes. This lengthy process could takes up to eight months
to complete. We have also received the CEELE Quality Certificate. The school is
also recognized by the CSN in Sweden and BILDUNGSURLAUB from several regions in
Germany. And we are members of the Andalusian Association of Spanish Language
Schools (AEEA), of the Spanish Federation of Associations of Spanish Schools for
Foreigners (FEDELE) and of the European Federation of National Language School
Associations for Teaching Mother Tongues to Foreign Students (ELITE). These
organizations have very defined standards of quality that schools must follow in
order to become members.
Centro de Idiomas Quorum ha estado alrededor desde 1999. Desde entonces, hemos hecho muy bien conocidos en Nerja y España para la calidad de nuestros programas y del esmero de nuestros profesores. El quorum se ha convertido en el primer y solamente la escuela española en Nerja y la región de Axarquia a estar y el centro acreditado por el Instituto Cervantes para la enseñanza del español como segunda lengua. Esta alta distinción viene a nosotros después de apenas cuatro años de la operación. En España hay centenares de escuelas de idiomas españolas, no obstante menos de 45 escuelas son acreditadas por el Instituto Cervantes. Esta acreditación es la forma más alta de reconocimiento que las escuelas españolas pueden conseguir en España. El proceso de la acreditación es muy riguroso. Las escuelas tienen que someter la información detallada sobre los programas, la escuela, el anuncio, las calificaciones del profesor, y más. La información sometida entonces se repasa y entonces la escuela es examinada por una fuente exterior reconocida por el Instituto Cervantes. Este proceso muy largo podría toma hasta ocho meses para terminar. También hemos recibido el certificado de la calidad de CEELE. La escuela también es reconocida por el CSN en Suecia y BILDUNGSURLAUB de varias regiones en Alemania. Y somos miembros de la asociación andalua de las escuelas de idiomas españolas (AEEA), de la federación española de asociaciones de las escuelas españolas para los extranjeros (FEDELE) y de la federación europea de las asociaciones de la escuela de la lengua nacional para las lenguas maternas de enseñanza a los estudiantes extranjeros (ÉLITE). Estas organizaciones tienen estándares muy definidos de la calidad que las escuelas deban seguir para sentir bien a miembros.
